Haus Salzburg is a traditional austrian mountain chalet, set in a stunning position overlooking the beautiful Hochkönig mountain range.
The Hochkönig skiing area is Austria`s best kept secret and yet to be discovered by major tour operators, with a huge skiing and walking area not crowded by package holiday makers.
There are 39 modern lifts, two of which completed last year and one new one to open this year. The region has invested €54m into these new lifts. No more T-Bars and no need for busses. There are also an amazing 38 restaurants to choose from, one of which is the Steinbock Alm, built at a cost of €3m and opened last season.
Hinterthal also has some other local bars to offer, one with a weekly live band and a disco evening. There are a couple of Hotels in the village at which Haus Salzburg guests can use the spa/pool for a small cost.
There are other events and activities too such as the weekly Night Ski Show in Maria Alm, tobogganing from the Jufen (scary, but great fun, not for the faint hearted) or even taking a Horsesleigh Ride through our beautiful village. During February and March there are village festivals with great music and Glühwein.
