Hinterthal is one of the best places we have skied for beginners to learn, our main accommodation is almost next door to the ski school and the nursery slope is just over the road. Not all beginner slopes are ideal as resorts have to work with the terrain they have but luckily Hinterthal has an perfect beginner slope, not too flat not to steep, and level so you can turn left and right equally well. Once you have mastered the nursery slope there is a perfect blue run just over the road to progress to, plus some easy reds. This enables groups to stay in the same area and meet for lunch.

Also right at the bottom of the nursery slope is a fantastic rustic bar and restaurant with a large sun terrace to watch your kids whilst sipping Gluweine.

Having just completed the Austria ski teacher course myself I am very impressed with the modern Austria teaching methods. They start with a simple easy progression, with the aim of having you parallel carving as soon as possible.

Ski lessons come in various forms from a standard five day beginner’s course, adult courses, snowboard lessons, snow play for young kids, and private lessons. All have English speaking instructors.

Beginners Group Ski Lessons (5 days/ 4 hours): €150.00

Snowboard Lessons (3 Days/2 hours): €99.00

Adult Group Ski Lessons (5 Days/ 3hours): €135.00

Kids Snow Play (2 hours): €25.00

Private lessons (2 hours): €99.00

Full Ski School Price List 2006/2007

You have the option for children (over 3 years old) to have a supervised lunch for an extra €10/day leaving you free to ski on your own from 10.00am-3.00pm! Plus there is snow play for younger kids just for two hours in the morning.

All of our guests are invited to join us on Ski Safari on the first day of your holiday. We will take you around and show you some of the best places to ski and the most charming coffee stops.
